Male hairdressing is more in fashion than ever. More and more men are keen to follow fashion, not just with the clothes they wear, but also their hair and clothes. With this in mind, we’ve compiled a list of the male haircuts that we’ll be seeing most in 2019. Let’s start!
Cuts for straight hair
Long
Haircuts are worn with short sides (but not too short, using scissors rather than a clipper) and the top quite long. This way the cut looks fuller. A firm follower of this look is the actor Miguel Bernardeau from the popular series Élite.
Very short
The ideal look for total comfort: the buzzcut. Singer Nick Jones is one man who opts for this totally practical and easy to manage look. You’ll be glad in the summer!
Pompadour
It’s a classic among classics. Elegant but casual. Full-bodied looks are best, like Jon Kortajarena. This look starts short at the neck and gets longer as it reaches the forehead. Ideal for men with plenty of hair who want to show it off.
Bangs
Bangs aren’t just a thing for women, men are wearing them too. They’re worn choppy to get a slightly messy finish which gives a highly attractive ‘rebellious’ feel to any look (and if you don’t believe us take a look at Ian Somerhalder).
Scissor cut
This option is for anyone who isn’t looking to innovate. It’s a uniform scissor cut that’s neither too short nor too long with the top section cut slightly longer. The sides are slightly shorter than the top but without a noticeable contrast.
Cuts for wavy hair
Long
If you want to try Bradley Cooper’s look then this is for you. The actor wears relatively long hair, cut in layers for added movement and to reduce the volume of his wavy hair . Would you give this look a go?
Gentleman
This type of cut leaves the top longer than the sides to create the optical illusion of greater volume. There’s no need to go full-on pompadour, add a little Beard and Hair Wax from the updated Homme range to dry hair and shape your hair to one side and slightly upwards. You’ll look just as handsome as Andrés Velencoso!
Bangs
Make the most of your wild mane! Get the perfect cut for wavy hair by using a clipper on the lower ares and making a gradual scissor cut through the remaining areas. The result? A fresh and natural cut. When it comes to your bangs, you don’t have to go full out pompadour, just give it a little upward movement and that’s enough.
Cuts for curly hair
Short
If you don’t like your curly hair then simply chop it off! Pick up some clippers and cut lightly to form a square area with more volume in the central area, like singer Justin Timberlake has here.
Long
Do you like Jon Snow’s wild look? Then take note: let your hair grow and make a layered cut which will add volume and movement. It’s a most versatile hairstyle, which allows you to create many different looks. Our favorite: the wet look. To get the look just use a little of our Wet Gel Rock from the Pro·Line styling range on wet hair and sweep your hair back off your face. Irresistible!
Cuts from men with little hair
Classic look
It’s one of the most popular. Try to keep the sides nice and short and leave the top slightly longer to create an effect of greater abundance. A safe bet for men’s haircuts in 2019.To one side
Ashton Kutcher wears the perfect cut for men who don’t have much hair. Although it’s simple it’s effective. Cut with scissors to ensure uniformity then comb the top over to one side. This will create the effect of greater volume.
