Which eyeshadow suits which eye color best?
09/07/2021
Choosing an eyeshadow to match your eyes isn’t easy. Even if you like it a lot, you should remember that it might not be the one that suits you best. Take note of the factors you should bear in mind to get Hollywood-worthy eyes.
Be clear: brown eyes are not suited to the same shades as blue eyes. Not all eyeshadows are suitable for everyone. To make the right choice you should bear in mind a series of factors like skin and hair color, and above all, eye color.
In general terms, colors which resemble most closely the color of your eyes will be your best base color option. Those which are opposite are great for below the eyebrow or the lacrimal. Another important factor is their size. If they are large and protruding, dark eyeshadow is better, if they’re small and sunken, then go for pastel or brighter tones.
Eyeshadow for blue eyes
Any cold colors are suitable like blues and grays, silver, pink or purple. If you want to create contrast to make them really pop, then try some warmer shades like bronze, gold, beige or brown with hints of coral, peach or orange. Green doesn’t suit you
Eyeshadow for green eyes
If you’re hoping for a natural result then go for greens and brown-gray. If, on the other hand you want to highlight them, then you’re better off going for purple, burgundy, cherry or even wine or marsala. Remember that dark colors are more suited to people with light-green eyes, and for dark green pastel shades like lilac, pale purple or light brown are better.
Blue doesn’t suit you.
Eyeshadow for honey eyes
Choose a golden, bronze, brown or gray-green color, which will soften and enhance your eye color. Purple, pink or subtle orange colors can also work. Dark blue doesn’t suit you.
Eyeshadow for brown eyes
If you want natural results then you can opt for eyeshadow from the same chromatic scale. If you want them to stand out, then try purple, pink or dark blue.
In general pastel shades are a no go.
Eyeshadow for dark brown eyes
If your eyes are very dark then smoky-black, gray or brown can work well for you. Golden, purple or pink can also work well.
We recommend avoiding intense greens and blues.
