Top tips to keep blonde hair looking beautiful and shiny

We are in love with blonde hair dye but such a beautiful tone requires specific care, or did you think it looked after itself? Below we share with you some of the best tips and tricks to keep your blonde hair looking beautiful and shiny. Blonde is such a beautiful color and comes in such a wide variety of shades but, it’s also especially delicate. Because it’s such a light color, it’s also more vulnerable to changes in the weather or damage from other outside factors such as the sun, which dry the hair out and live it brittle and damaged. Here are some top tips that’ll help you keep your blonde mane looking shiny and, more importantly, in the best of health.

Damage prevention

The first step to showing off hydrated hair is in the salon. It’s important to use products that care for and protect the hair, such as Deco-Eco, a bleach from the Biokera range that cares for hair, has no ammonia and boasts Plex Protect technology that increases hair strength and reduces breakages, to ensure longer-lasting color. Capable of lift of up to 9 levels, its formula contains Avena Sativa minerals and certified organic plant oils. Color-treated hair is more sensitive to the effects of heat, this is why, everytime you use heat tools like styling irons and hair dryers, to should remember to protect your hair with Straightening Spray, a spray that contains hydrolyzed products which create a protective and hydrating film along the hair’s surface. Apply to damp hair before using a styling iron or as a finishing touch to eliminate static and increase natural shine.

Color care

One of the greatest enemies of blonde hair is that over time unwanted hues can begin to appear. To prevent brassy highlights from taking control of your hair, your best bet is to use a shampoo with violet pigments to tone and correct the color. In this case White Shampoo from the Golden Range is your best friend when it comes to getting rid of unwanted yellow; it also restores shine and brightness thanks to its semi-permanent violet color pigments.   Important! Limit washing your hair to once every three days to keep color in top shape.

Extra-nourished

You must use a conditioning mask once a week to give the hair cuticle an extra boost of nourishment and softness. We recommend Citric Balance, an acidic mask that will restore the hair’s natural pH. It helps protect and rebuild structure after chemical processing, increasing the duration of the treatment and helping to seal the color fastly into the hair’s core. On the days when you don’t use the mask don’t forget to use a styling cream each time you step out of the shower because, as we mentioned before, blonde is a color that tends to become dry and weak. Salerm 21 is the ideal solution for dehydrated and damaged hair. Apply a hazelnut-sized amount to the ends and damaged areas. Its formula based on silk proteins reaches into the hair’s core, caring and reviving it from within from the very first use.

Be careful with the sun

As we said before, bleached hair tends to dry out quickly, and sun exposure only speeds up this process.  So, if your notice your hair is becoming brittle and fragile why not try Salerm 21 Bi-Phase, a spray containing long-lasting UV filters which will protect both the hair’s structure and its color from sun, chlorine and seawater. It also helps beat tangles, instantaneously conditioning and repairing. And if you want to protect it even more, then there’s nothing like a good hat to protect your hair and look extra stylish at the same time.
