The fade cut for men and women

The bald fade is certainly winning followers daily among both men and women who want to add personality and a rebellious, young and transgressive edge to their look.  We give you the keys to the winning cut of the moment. Long live the fade cut! It’s a cut that just never goes out of fashion. Why is it so popular? It’s very comfortable to wear, adds an edgy and different feel to a look, is rejuvenating and ideal for people with a big personality. But it’s not just a style for men. More and more women are opting in to this edgy look which breaks away from classic molds but still has a sexy feel to it, and why not? Singer Pink, actress Scarlett Johansson and Miley Cyrus are just a few of this cut’s biggest fans. Today we want to focus on one of the cut’s most popular versions, the bald fade.

So what is a bald fade?

As its name suggests, the sides and back are cut short and the top left longer to create a fade which goes from less to more. The end result? A super simple cut that’s ideal, especially when time is pressing. What we always try to achieve is a medium grade cut between the temples and the start of the occipital bone, buzz-cutting the sides with a gentle fade and leaving the upper area a little longer. This way, anyone who wants to can leave the top long enough for a bun or ponytail to create maximum contrast for the coolest effect.  There are 3 types of fade depending on the head area being worked on: high, medium and low.  The low fade is the most popular thanks to its great versatility. You should always remember that this type will always be lower than the sideburn area and at the neck, which are areas of quick growth.  That’s why we recommend paying regular visits to your stylist to keep your fade looking sharp. In the case of men, if it’s combined with a beard or goatee it’ll look fantastic because it adds a fresh and modern feel that’s very on trend right now. On the other hand the high fade is more pronounced. The sides are cut pretty short and this cut is suited to people with an oval or round face as it has the effect of lengthening the features.  So now you know that the fade is the winning look for you, what are you waiting for to give your look the personality and edge it’s lacking?
