Are you wondering what hairstyle to wear this New Year’s Eve? You can’t see in the new year in any old way! So here we give you some ideas for the coolest updos and styles to help you enjoy one of the most special and glamorous nights of the year.
It’s the last night of the year and you want to wear a hairstyle that’s unique and special, we get that. We bet you’ve already got the dress and accessories but you’re missing a great hairstyle to put the cherry on the top. You’re erring between hair down or high updo. Then we’re here to help!
This year, your hair length won’t stop you from wearing a hairstyle that’s fitting for the occasion. Hair down
If you don’t feel right about updos then we’ve got some tips about how to wear hair down: . Old Hollywood: do you love the vintage look? Would you like to feel like a 50s Hollywood star? Then Hollywood waves are for you. To get the look just follow these steps: . Step 1. Make a side part and divide the hair into four sections: two at the front and two at the back of the head. . Step 2. Take each partition separately and follow this process: wrap around a wand, or if you don’t have a wand an iron will do, always in the same direction. . Step 3. When you have the curl right, pin it with a clip and apply some Strong Lac from the Pro·Line range to keep it tightly in place. Then do the same with the remaining partitions. . Step 4. When you’ve finished, release and gently brush through. You’ll soon see some beautiful gentle waves, especially at the tips. You’ll look amazing!
All to one side
It’s an easy but highly sensual do. It looks great with any dress, especially with an asymmetric neckline and suits any face shape. To get the look you need to:
Step 1. Before beginning we recommend combing the hair through.
Step 2. Take a wand or iron and create gentle, open waves all over.
Step 3. Once you’ve done that, ignore the parting and brush all your hair to your prefered side.
Sometimes less is more!
Messy hair
One of the hairstyles that’s seeing a big following this Christmas. Perhaps it’s down to its rebel, or rocker feel? And although the idea is to create an unstyled appearance, it does require some technique:
Step 1. Apply our volumizing mousse Volume Mousse from the Pro·Line range and dry your hair upside down with a hair dryer. This will give even fine hair extra body.
Step 2. Once dry, backcomb the upper area with a comb.
Step 3. If you want even more volume, use an iron to create some waves.
Step 4. Use your fingers to ‘mess up’ your hair and get a natural-looking finish. If you want the look to last all night then your best bet is some Pro·Line Nature Lac, a strong-hold hairspray, especially suitable for anyone with a sensitive scalp, that will create a natural look without sticky buildup.
Top knot
It’s one of the most beloved celebrity styles. If you want to stand out, add a braid to the back area for instant wow factor! We show you how to do it, it’s easier than you think:
Step 1. Brush all of your hair forward.
Step 2. Leave a section at the back, just on the central area. Then make a thick braid.
Step 3. Make a high ponytail with the rest of the hair and the braid.
Step 4. Wrap the hair around the ponytail and hold in place with hair pins. You’re good to go!
Bubble Tail
We’ve even seen Queen Letizia of Spain wear this original ponytail. If you want to see 2019 in with this style, then you’re in luck! It’s totally easy to do, we show you how:
Step 1. Create a slightly ‘messy’ high ponytail.
Step 2. Divide into various sections, depending on your hair’s length. Place some hair elastics (of a color as similar as possible to your hair) to secure these sections.
Step 3. Pull each section apart a little to create the ‘bubble’ effect and voila!
Half up half down hair
New Year’s Eve is a long night, and we know it. So if you want an original look but without renouncing comfort then we suggest the half up half down do. What about putting the top part of your hair up in a high bun and leaving the rest loose with gentle waves? It’s a top trend right now!
If you want to add a touch of sophistication follow these simple steps:
Step 1. Before beginning, mark a center part and comb the hair through.
Step 2. Create some waves with a wand or iron.
Step 3. Take two strands from the front section, one from the right and one from the left side.
Step 4. Join them together at the rear with a hair elastic, to form a small ponytail. We recommend using an elastic that’s a similar color to your own hair.
Wet look
If you have a short bob or pixie then the most elegant option is a wet look combed close to your head to enhance your head shape.
