The cuts we’ll be seeing in 2019

Trends ahoy! 2019 is just around the corner and you, like the hair fashion victim that you are, can’t get left behind. Here we show you the haircut trends that you’ll be seeing more of next year. Take note! At last we know what’s coming and we know that you’re going to love them! In 2018 we saw how the bob (both in its shorter and longer versions) consolidated its position as the absolute winner. Many women have fallen in love with this pretty cut, such as the influencer Olivia Palermo, actresses Mila Kunis and Margot Robbie, models Hailey Baldwin and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and even Spanish celebrities like Sara Carbonero. It has it all, it’s super feminine and suits all kinds of face shapes. However, 2019 will be the year of the short cut full of movement. Pay attention and take note of the winning looks for next year!

Haircuts 2019: the pixie

It’s one of the boldest but it’s perfect if you want to give your image a freshener, edgier feel. The Pixie cut takes its name from the fairies and imps of mythology. If you’re worried about looking too manly, bangs can help you give the look a super-attractive feminine feel. This type of cut is suitable for any hair type, whether straight or curly, and is really comfortable for everyday wear, styling will never take up much of your time. Matt Clay matte wax and the Volume Dust styling powder, both from the Pro·Line range can help you create your desired look. Mess around with volume and shape for a winning look.

Kim Kardashian is a big fan of the blunt cut. If you don’t already know, it’s one of the strongest bets for next year. It’s a bob length cut with a straight line at chin level, like a classic bob but without any layers or texture. So it could be defined as a medium, lip-level, cut. It’s ideal for fine or thin hair that needs a strong cut for everyday wear. As we already hinted in previous articles bangs are going to be big too. Combine the blunt cut with curtain bangs for a winning look. As in the previous case, it can look good on any hair type: straight, waves, curls… You choose how to wear it! Although, if your hair is fine, we recommend using some Volume Mousse from the Pro·Line range to give your hair some extra body. It’ll hydrate your hair and give you styling hold, vitality and movement without weighing hair down.

France is the cradle of style and glamour. The “City of Light” sets the trends that you’ll be seeing most of over the coming months, and next year is not likely to be an exception. The French-style cut is based on a well-defined cut at the chin, combined with bangs in pure Amelie style. The ends should be longer at the front and shorter at the neck. This way the face is framed beautifully to enhance facial features. It’s the ideal cut for girls with fine hair who need extra volume (and this is why we don’t recommend this cut on curly hair).

cortes-2019-francesHaircuts 2019: the LOB (long bob)

The LOB is neither short nor long. It’s a cut that lays somewhere in between the chin and shoulders. Apart from being the ideal cut for updating your hair and appearance, this look is fabulous because it can be adapted to suit any kind of hair and face shape, and offers you a myriad of different updo and styling alternatives. It’s perfect with a side or casual center part, combined with bangs. The long bob is one of the most versatile hairstyles around right now. The results will not let you down.

Yes, there are also cuts for those of you who shy away from the scissors and don’t want to say goodbye to length. The layers that became so popular in the 90s are back. Now they’re worn with long hair and very choppy, diffuse layers so that one blends harmoniously with another. If you’re wondering if this look would suit you then take a look at the hairstyle made so popular in the series Friends by Jennifer Anniston. To make sure this cut looks good it’s very important to keep your hair strong and shiny and in tip top condition. You can get the perfect shine with our Grapeology serum. A natural oil based on ground grape seeds from the cellars of La Rioja wine producing region in Spain. The oil nourishes and hydrates hair on every level, leaving it looking beautifully shiny and soft.
